FOUR in a Bed viewers spotted something infuriating as couples go to war in an explosive episode.
The latest episode of the Channel 4 show saw four pairs compete for a cash prize by showcasing their various hospitality offerings.
To win, the contestants had to earn favourable scores by proving their value for money based on their room rates.
Channel 4 viewers were disappointed by Friday’s instalment after they noticed that episodes had already seen before.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a dramatic effect on the hospitality sector – meaning that filming could only took place when government permitted it under the guidelines.
This could explain the repeated episodes, however several unhappy viewers took to social media to air their frustration.
One disgruntled viewer wrote: “FFS a repeat!”
Another posted: “I remember this repeat. Karen likes to give criticism, but not receive!”
A third shared “Yet another repeat.”
An angry viewer fumed: “This is a repeat, damn it.”
A fourth commented: “Forgetting that this is a repeat. Of course, they’re not still in business, surely.”
“If it’s a repeat? Does the same person still win?” another hilariously added.
Another questioned: “Erm excuse me why are they showing a repeat??”
Despite it being a repeated episode, viewers were gripped by the explosive drama which resulted in one contestant in floods of tears.
Couple Petra and Martin were distraught after Andrew and Qidi marked them down for the cleanliness and the lack of facilities.
They underpaid by £10, admitting there was not enough plug sockets in their cottage.
The couples came face to face to defend their payments, Petra took the opportunity to slam Andrew and Qudi’s criticism.
Petra said: “In total there are 14 sockets in the living room and in the bedroom.”
Martin agreed with his wife adding: “That’s 14. There’s one right next to the dressing table.”
However, things went from bad to worse when Andrew and Qidi slammed the couple’s old-fashioned bathroom tiles.
Martin was left fuming and branded the pair “game players, he said: “We’ve been open three years.
“Our feedback on one of the world’s biggest booking sites gave us a guest review of 9.9/10 for two years on the trot.
“Which, either we were unlucky and you had an unlucky stay or you’re very good game players, which one is it?”
A gobsmacked Andrew was clearly insulted by the accusations and hit back: “We’re definitely not game playing. We just had an unlucky stay.
“Our expectations were really high coming to your B&B, we were expecting maybe perfection.”
But it all got a bit too much for Petra, who was left sobbing by the negative comments.
A downcast Petra exclaimed: “I am really upset about your feedback.”
Martin was adamant that the pair were playing a game, adding: “We’ve been told that the room is too cheap and that is a disgrace, so that tells me you’re game players.”
Four in a Bed continues at 5pm on Channel 4.
