Freddie also reveals a deep secret about his childhood

The lad portrayed by Bobby Brazier has mostly kept to himself since his first arrival in Albert Square.

In recent months, Freddie has formed a close bond with Bobby Beale who has become his partner in crime.

However, in scenes due to air on BBC One, he opens up and reveals a sad secret from his childhood to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).

Coming up, Freddie finds himself double booked with two dates for the same evening and panics whether he can pull it off.

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) convinces him to go for it but his other family members are far from trusting he can manage both dates.

Freddie gives it his best try later on in The Vic as Jean, her partner Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) and Stacey watch him while he attempts to navigate both dates.

Unfortunately for him, things will be going from bad to worse when Freddie muddles up both of his dates.

The Slaters watch the drama unfold but Jean upsets Freddie when she questions his intelligence.

This prompts Freddie to make a devastating confession about what his childhood was like and he reveals that a school teacher was involved.

What he will reveal remains to be seen but Jean is then determined to convince Freddie to confront his former school teacher who is responsible for the humiliation he endured and the harsh feelings he harbours now.

The youngster is reluctant to follow through with Jean’s advice but a chat with his partner in crime Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) is all he needs to decide to seek closure.

Freddie heads to his old school with Bobby, Jean and Harvey in tow for moral support.

How will the teacher react?

Can Freddie heal from all his trauma?

Or could it consume him?
