STRICTLY fans have complained about the celebrity contestants for the latest series.
Some have cheekily asked “who?” as the names were released over the last few days.
Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are returning this autumn
The Asian Network’s BBC Breakfast Show host Nikita Kanda was announced as Strictly’s ninth star for the 2023 series.
It followed names including musical theatre star Layton Williams and BBC Radio One Xtra DJ Eddie Kadi.
One viewer said: “This is getting worse and worse. Did someone forget to book actual celebrities?!!!”
Another insisted: “Not a good line up this year!”
Someone else asked: “Is it only me that doesn’t know anyone apart from Angela Rippon?”
While others argued it’s the same row every year.
“Each year there’s a lot of celebs I’ve never heard of”, said one, before adding: “But it doesn’t matter! You get to know and love them as the weeks go by.”
Meanwhile signings that have been praised for the 2023 lineup of Strictly Come Dancing, include actress Amanda Abbington, journalist Angela Rippon and Channel 4 News presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
TV stars Zara McDermott and Adam Thomas are also ready to hit the dancefloor when the series returns this autumn.
Layton Williams was the third celebrity contestant confirmed for Strictly
