LAURA Anderson has revealed the family heirloom that ‘protected’ boyfriend Gary Lucy in his horror car crash yesterday.
The Hollyoaks actor suffered a serious leg injury in the smash, but he was lucky to walk away from the wreckage.

Laura shared a timeline of their dramatic 24 hours
Taking to Instagram today, Laura shared a picture of a card of St Joseph given to Gary by his grandmother.
She wrote: “We’re not religious but thank you St Joseph for saving my love.
“Gary’s gran gave him this, it has words about safety and protection on the other side. I pulled it out his bag yesterday morning just before his accident.”
Saint Joseph is Jesus’s legal father and is seen as a protector of the Catholic Church.
Gary’s right leg is now in a brace and he is resting at home under Laura’s watchful eye.
The 41-year-old shared a series of pictures of his completely destroyed vehicle and said “someone was watching over me”.
He added: “Gary 9 lives”.
Devoted dad-of-four Gary is currently dating Love Island star Laura after meeting her on Celebs Go Dating.
He shares India, Elvis, Sadie and Theo with ex wife, Natasha Grey, who he was with for over fourteen years before splitting in 2018.
Laura rushed to be by his side in hospital and shared a video of him leaving on crutches.
She also shared a picture of his knee as he lay in the hospital before revealing he was now back at home.
Gary is best known for playing Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks.
He did his first stint on the show when he was still a teenager from 1999-2002.
His character departed the show on the premise that he was moving to Canada.
In 2017 he returned to the soap but has since been killed off.
The Footballer’s Wives star won a legion of new fans when he appeared on dating show Celeb Go Dating and made a beeline for Laura.
Laura confirmed their relationship after revealing to The Celeb Report that their relationship was “blossoming”, explaining: “I get on really well with Gary. It’s blossoming.
“It’s the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
The reality TV star continued: “Things are going really well for us, I wouldn’t change anything.”
