Soap opera fans of General Hospital are in for a surprise as the character Sam McCall will be portrayed by a different actress. Instead of Kelly Monaco, Lindsay Hartley will temporarily step into the role.

Lindsay Hartley has actually replaced Kelly Monaco as Sam McCall on General Hospital not just once, but three times. While Monaco took a temporary leave from the show in July 2020, Hartley filled in as Sam. Monaco returned to resume her role on August 18, 2020. However, Hartley stepped in again on February 3, 2022, and once more on January 4, 2024.
Reason for Replacement
Monaco's absence from the show was reportedly due to her being "under the weather." However, the source mentioned that she only missed one episode.
