GENTLEMAN Jack fans were thrilled that the BBC made a key change to the ending of the episode on Sunday.
Viewers have been unimpressed that the track Gentleman Jack by Yorkshire-based folk duo O’Hooley and Tidow has been drowned out by the continuity announcer for the last two weeks.
But after several complaints, the voiceover person remained very quiet during last night’s credits.
Elated viewers were over the moon that they could finally listen to the closing theme tune without being interrupted.
One wrote: “Yay we finally got to hear the whole song at the end credits this time with no interruptions and what a fabulous episode it was! #GentlemanJack @OHooleyandTidow love the song btw its so catchy.”
Another posted: ” Also! Seems like @BBCOne has listened and has let us have our nationwide sapphic singalong session to @OHooleyandTidow to round off the week! Excellent stuff. Break out the madeira/champagne! #GentlemanJack”

Gentleman Jack viewers spot serial killer on the loose after 'huge clue'

Meanwhile, viewers spotted a deadly twist in season two with a serial killer apparently on the loose.
They’re convinced Suzannah’s husband Thomas Sowden (Tom Lewis), who is Anne Lister‘s tenant, has killed his uncle Ben and fed him to the pigs.
Ben had grown suspicious about his missing brother Sam, Thomas’ abusive father, who had been making life miserable for Suzannah.
Ben dropped hints that Thomas was behind his disappearance but made it clear he would let the matter go as long as he was allowed to stay on the farm.
However, when Thomas ordered Ben to leave, he threatened to voice his theories.
Then last night, when Thomas’ mother raised questions about Sam and Ben’s whereabouts, he snapped at her.
Taking to Twitter, one person remarked: “Oh God Thomas isn’t turning into a serial killer, as well as a parricide, is he?!
Another said: “Looks like Tom has done away with the Uncle too!”
As a third typed: “She’ll be the main course!”
Meanwhile, life is growing more complicated for Anne Lister as she returned to visit Mariana, leaving new lover Ann Walker – despite them taking the next step in their relationship and moving in together.
The BBC drama has been written and directed by Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright.
