GEORGE Clarke was left in a stunned silence after telling fans he had seen the “greatest transformation ever” on the show.
The Channel 4 host headed to meet carpenter Matthew, 43, who had purchased a rotting old boat to transform it.
George was left in shock at the finished boat
It had been left totally rotting before being transformed
George, 48, was left in shock after looking at the state of the old boat, which looked to be beyond repair.
The small space trailblazer, who has been hosting the show for a decade, headed to meet Matthew to see the structure.
Matthew had bought the 40-foot boat in hopes of renovating it into a useable home – despite rotting and left broken.
“It was going to get scrapped and I wanted to save it,” he said of the timber boat, built in 1969, which was “knackered”.
While George had doubts that Matthew could transform the vessel, he was left totally stunned by the changes.
He returned to the boat six months later to see the progress – and was left in shock at the amazing transformation.
The boat had been made into a stunning one-bedroom property, featuring a kitchen and living room.
Left open-mouthed, George told Matthew that the boat was the “greatest transformation” he had ever seen on the show.
“That’s one of the greatest transformations I’ve ever seen, it’s mind-blowing,” George said as he looked at the boat.
“Oh, Matthew, I’m lost for words,” he went on. “I tell you what, it’s very rare that I’m completely lost for words.
“That is staggering, that is one of the nicest Amazing Spaces projects that I’ve ever seen.
“You might even have the greatest Amazing Space of all time. Every single direction you look in, it’s stunning.”
Viewers at home agreed, and took to Twitter to gush over the build, saying they were “in awe” of his craft.
“Wow, this is superb. What a stunning project, what a glorious place to stay,” one fan wrote.
Another chimed in: “I am in awe of that guy’s skills and commitment,” while a third added: “That boat is stunning, what a transformation.”
It comes after fans of Amazing Spaces were left in shock over the last series, which showed off a “floating” lake house.
Haddon Lake House is owned by landscape designer Phillippa Lambert and graphic design and architectural illustration specialist Steve Lambert.
The stunning property is set on two-acres of woodland in the grounds of Old Park.
Back in 2002 the pair were granted permission to create their Japanese-inspired dream home, and it was built four years later.
It features a unique fireplace, a balcony that overlooks the stunning forest and a hitting stone.
