Caught on Camera
GHOSTS star Kiell Smith-Bynoe has left fans open-mouthed after failing to hide his fury when Mrs Brown's Boys won a National Television Award.
Begging Fans Not to Vote
Kiell, 35, was caught on camera looking seriously angry when the BBC show beat Ghosts to the gong for Best Comedy. Only three weeks ago, the Taskmaster actor had posted a link for fans to vote for the NTAs and wrote: "Don't let Mrs Brown's Boys beat us again."
Fan Reactions
Fans have now taken to social media to share their astonishment. Many have even questioned whether Kiell's reaction was staged or genuine.
One wrote: "Kiell Smith-Bynoe Did not look happy." Another added: "Can't tell if Kiell Smith-Bynoe was doing his 'angry'/belligerent act like he did on Taskmaster or was genuinely fuming at Mrs Brown's Boys win!"
NTA Winners
Ghosts had been in the running for best comedy alongside Mrs Brown's Boys, Not Going Out, Brassic, and The Gentlemen. This is the fourth time Mrs Brown's Boys has won best comedy at the National Television Awards.
Meanwhile, one of the big winners of the night was Strictly Come Dancing, despite the show being hit with controversy over bullying claims. Drama Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, based on a true story, also scooped two gongs.
