Are the Ghostbusters back to haunt our screens with Frozen Empire?

When it comes to film posters, should the size of an actor's image reflect their screen time? Bill Murray takes a back seat to Paul Rudd in the ads, but does he shine on screen?

In the latest installment, Murray's character, Peter Venkman, gets a bit more spotlight, but is it enough to satisfy fans of the original films?

Souped-up hearse

The plot of Frozen Empire may be described as "fresh frozen," as it defrosts storylines from the past and repackages them in a new light. Our heroes chase ghouls in a souped-up hearse, risking it all in a battle against the supernatural.

Director Gil Kenan takes his time to heat things up, but the grand finale may leave audiences wanting more. However, laugh-out-loud gags and witty one-liners keep the entertainment factor high.

With a mix of new and familiar faces, including British stand-up comic James Acaster and Dan Aykroyd, the film delivers on humor and nostalgia. But what truly stands out is the relationship between 15-year-old Phoebe Spengler (Mckenna Grace) and a human spirit.

While most of Frozen Empire may be forgettable, this element lingers, preventing the Ghostbusters empire from crumbling.
