Gino D’Acampo lost for words as panicking Family Fortunes contestant makes outrageous blunder

FAMILY Fortunes presenter Gino D’Acampo was left lost for words after a contestant made an outrageous blunder on the show.

Over the years, Gino has gained a reputation as a cheeky and lovable presence on TV – and his stint on the ITV game show has proved no different.

Gino D’Acampo was left shocked when a Family Fortunes contestant gave him the most random answer to a question

Contestant Joanna was embarrassed over her answer

During this weekend’s game, Joanna, of the Michael family, had a complete mind blank when Gino asked the contestant to name somewhere you buy a last-minute present – and her answer was priceless.

Pitting the two families against one another, Gino said: “So, I’m looking for the top four answers on the board.

“We asked 100 people, name a place you buy a last-minute present.”

Without any hesitation, a confident Joanna buzzed in immediately, before freezing in front of Gino.

“Oh my god, sorry,” said a dismayed Joanna, looking down at the floor as she, presumably, looked for it to swallow her up.

Taking a deep breath to compose herself, she uttered; “Argos,” as a stunned Gino was left open-mouthed.

With the audience erupting in a fit of laughter, Joanna placed her hand on her head before apologising for her abrupt answer.

Unimpressed, Gino looked directly into the camera as he sarcastically reiterated her answer before the crowd uncontrollably cackled once again.

“I’m not even gonna turn around,” Gino added, before the answer was revealed to be incorrect.

It’s not the first time that Gino has been presented with an awkwardly terrible answer, either.

Just last month, the 45-year-old asked contestants: “Name something that makes you scream,” before a player exclaimed: “Having sex”.

And when the answer didn’t feature on the board, Gino reacted: “I knew it because we are in England – in Italy it would be the top answer.

Family Fortunes continues on Sunday at 7pm on ITV.
