GMB’s Ranvir Singh fuels rumours of ‘secret feud’ with Ben Shephard pointing out how tired he looks

GOOD Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh fuelled rumours of a secret feud with her co-host Ben Shephard by telling him he looked tired this morning.

The presenter, 44, surprised viewers when she kicked off the show by pointing out Ben’s appearance, 47 – just weeks after fans spotted friction between the pair.

Ranvir told Ben he looked tired

Ben revealed he had been away working

Ben started: “I have been away but not feet up having a lovely time away.”

Ranvir replied: “I was going to say you don’t looked that rested.”

“I have just got in and she is already giving me grief ,” Ben told viewers.

She told him: “You were yawning through the meeting this morning”, to which he replied: “It’s you.”

Noticing Ranvir’s comment this morning, one person wrote: “#gmb ranvir slagging everybody off as usual lol Ben talking about himself as usual lol.”

Fans had previously questioned their working relationship, with one person tweeting: “What’s the matter with Ben Shephard this morning ?? He’s cut-across & interrupted Ranvir half a dozen times !? (..and he does it in the most obvious & rude manner….as if he’s in bad mood ???)”

And another added: “They normally get on unless a spat earlier?”

A spokesperson for GMB said previously said: “This is utter fantasy, Ben and Ranvir get on really well. Talking over each other occasionally reflects real life relationships and is part of the authentic cut and thrust of a passionately topical programme like Good Morning Britain.”

Since Piers Morgan’s dramatic exit last year there has been a rotation of GMB presenters including Madeley, Martin Lewis and Alastair Campbell, but Susanna Reid has remained front and centre.

The Celeb Report also revealed Good Morning Britain bosses are desperate to hold on to Ranvir after she secretly quit her role as political editor.

Insiders said Ranvir, 44, was sick of the cold mornings standing on the doorstep of Number 10 and handed in her notice at the end of last year under the premise she would be move into a more substantial role on the flagship ITV show.

Meanwhile, Susanna has spoken about how much she enjoys working on GMB, telling The Celeb Report: “I’m lucky enough to be working in an industry that is changing, and particularly in ITV Daytime, we’ve got so many strong women.

“I work in a team of brilliant women – Ranvir [Singh], Charlotte [Hawkins], and Kate [Garraway].”

Adding that they’ve become especially close sine Kate’s husband’s illness, she said: “Particularly we all bonded and we’re protective around Kate – that’s really important.”
