They revealed some show secrets from filming

Dad Sid has appeared on the programme joined by his sons Baasit and Umar and have recently been joined by their additional brother Raza.

Now in an Instagram Q&A, the family have lifted the lid on a series of show secrets, including how they came to be cast on the programme, as well as affirming that they are planning to stick around on the show for some time to come.

Responding to their fans, the family confirmed that among some of the programmes they wish they didn’t have to watch include adult programmes including Sex Box.

Writing on Instagram, the boys said: “Not a fan of watching things like Sex Box with our dad though, that was a little bit awkward.”

On the whole, they admitted to enjoying most things the show’s producers put in front of them, saying: “We like to watch a variety of things & Gogglebox does allow us to watch stuff we possibly wouldn’t have!”

Baasit went onto open up on the real reason the family managed to make it onto screen.

Confirming it was all down to a pal, Bassit wrote during the Q&A: “I (Bassit) had a friend I used to work with when I was working in a video shop (showing my age) & she was working with Studio Lambet [production company] at the time when the Gogglebox idea was born & they were trialing the show & looking for family’s etc & she suggested us!”

Bassit then added: “I don’t think anyone thought it would grow into what it has & still be on TV 10 years later!!”

TV star Baasit has two children with his wife Melissa and admitted that out of they’re two kids – only one has got the bug for TV.

He confirmed his daughter Amelia “loves” filming the series and hoped to make another appearance on the show soon but he said that son Theodore was not so keen.

Baasit said: “Theodore just thinks it’s a normal day at Grandads.”
