Gogglebox fans all have the same complaint about the Siddiquis as hit show returns

GOGGLEBOX fans were delighted to see the comforting show back on screens after 24 hours of heartbreak.

However, many viewers had the same complaint as the Siddiqui family appeared to have overhauled their home.

Instead of sitting in the usual configurations of the sons on the left and dad Sid on the right, it was all change.

The room had a total makeover with Sid on the left – in front of a wooden duck.

One Gogglebox viewer wrote: “Finding it hard to deal with an upheaval to a familiar presence in life, & I’m referring to a change to the Siddiqui family’s sofa/seating configuration.”

Another wrote: “Can we ask the Siddiquis to move their chairs back please, too much change for one week.”

A third insisted: “No no no no no. There’s been way too much change in this country already this week. I can’t deal with the Siddiquis sitting the wrong way round on top of everything else.”

One other tweeted: “After this week I can’t cope with the Siddiquis new seating arrangement. Someone tell them to move back.”

The family are from Derby and are Channel 4’s Gogglebox regulars and its longest-serving family.

Dad Sid appears with his two sons, Baasit and Umar, whilst his third son Raza makes occasional appearances.

Channel 4 has been broadcasting rolling news for much of its schedule in the wake of yesterday’s announcement that the Queen has died aged 96.

However, it swapped to an entertainment line-up at 8.15pm with George Clarke’s Old House New Home followed by Gogglebox at 9pm.

A double-bill of First Dates then airs at 9.45pm instead of The Last Leg, with that followed by the movie Brassed Off.
