GOGGLEBOX fans were left hugely distracted during Lee Riley and Jenny Newby’s long-awaited return.
The hilarious best mate duo, known for giving their take on shows from the comfort of Lee’s caravan, made their Channel 4 show comeback on Friday.
Yet it was Lee’s look which commanded attention as they gave their take on everything from Coronation Street to farming programmes.
The Gogglebox pair introduced the show playing with resistance bands, with Lee sporting a baby pink top and jeans.
He gave off a golden glow – which fans picked up on immediately, with one quipping: “Bucketloads of fake tan in this episode.”
Another posted: “Lee’s tan has David Dickinson vibes,” while a third took to Twitter to simply write: “Lee’s tan!”
One then posted: “Right Lee. Enough sun beds.”
A reality TV fan then suggested Lee’s sunkissed look might have been deliberately seasonal as they put: “Lee is taking Halloween Jack-o-lantern seriously.”
Yet others showed their support, with one posting: “Lee fab colour,” as another wrote: “Lee’s got a lovely colour on him and he’s going to wear shorts for weeks, love him!”
EMOTIONAL COMEBACK
During the episode, Lee was left stunned as his best mate was reduced to tears during an episode of Coronation Street.
Businessman Johnny Connor – who is played by actor Richard Hawley in the ITV soap -drowned after saving his ex-wife Jenny who had fallen into a sinkhole.
After his heroic deed, Johnny’s body gave up and he passed out, drowning in the old sewer system.
But in a devastating scene before his passing, Johnny began to hear the voice of his late son Aidan calling him dad.
He had previously had visions of Aidan as a symptom of his MS.
The heartbreaking scenes moved Jenny to tears and left the other Gogglebox stars in shock.
One viewer said: “I laugh everytime Lee slowly turns his head and silently stares at Jenny when she’s crying at something.”
QUIT SCARE
Recently fans of the Channel 4 show feared that Lee and Jenny had secretly quit after they were mysteriously missing from last Friday’s episode with no explanation.
It was later revealed that they were only on holiday in Cyprus visiting Lee’s partner Steve – and they’ve now announced that they are on their way home.
Both wearing protective face masks, the pair posed for a selfie from the plane, as well as in front of a sign at Larnaca airport.
Sharing the two pics to Instagram, the best friends told followers: “SORRY FOLKS WE’RE COMING BACK, SEE YOU ALL ON FRIDAY”.
Fans were delighted with the news, with one quickly commenting: “Thank god for that!”
Another echoed: “So glad…. Gogglebox wouldn’t be the same without you two!
