GOGGLEBOX groom-to-be Pete Sandiford has complained his wedding is ‘costing him fortune’.
The fan favourite confirmed he had proposed to fiancee Paige Yeomans on the Channel 4 show back in February.
Pete, 26, – who is also expecting his first child with Paige – discussed his impending nuptials with little sister Sophie on Friday’s show, and admitted the costs were stacking up.
He said: “You don’t realise how much weddings cost when you get going, everything is a grand here and a grand there.”
Sophie, 24, replied: “I love how everything is always a round figure of £1,000.”
Pete then joked: “Have you got another credit card I can whack this on.
“So that’s four maxed credit cards now. I’ll just spread it all over a hundred monthly payments.”
Pete previously discussed his plans for the buffet at his wedding, telling Sophie it would include “cheese, sausages, pineapple and cocktail sticks”.
His sister suggested he should buy tinned pineapple rather than fresh and he agreed: “I’m not made of money.”
Pete casually dropped his engagement bombshell when the show returned in February, with Sophie asking: “Do you feel any different now that you’ve got engaged?”
He replied: “Yeah, I think. I feel like an even bigger responsibility. I don’t know why. I’m going to have a wife.”
Earlier this month, Pete confirmed he is also going to be a dad, by showing a scan photo on the show.
