Gogglebox star Marcus has secret famous son who’s banned from the show

GOGGLEBOX favourite Marcus Luther has a secret famous son who who is banned from appearing on the show.

Marcus, who has starred on the hit Channel 4 series with his partner Mica Ven since 2018, is dad to a 22 year-old boxer Shiloh Defreitas from a previous relationship.

He and Mica share a son, Yash, while Mica has two daughters, Sachelle and Shuggy, from a relationship prior to Marcus.

But while those three kids have appeared on the couch potato series, Shiloh has not – and never will.

Marcus, who is a boxing coach away from the show, has overseen his son Shiloh’s successful boxing career and previously revealed why his eldest boy won’t be on Gogglebox.

It turns out Shiloh did some filming for the show after being approached by producers but it didn’t work out and his scenes never made it to air.

Marcus told the BBC: “Gogglebox is not for everyone. Not everyone can ‘Goggle’. [Shiloh’s] too aggressive.

“Me and him just argued so I told him to sling his hook. The producers were trying to help him out but then he’d go off on one again. No Gogglebox for him, he’s a fighter.”

Shiloh competes under the name Sugar Shy and has fought in more than 85 fights.

He will fight at the 02 in London on May 21.

Shiloh, who goes by @sugarshy on instagram, regularly posts snaps of himself training and showing off his ripped physique.

His dad Marcus runs TM Boxing in London, which aims to help disadvantaged kids in the community.

Marcus has said: “I’m known for Gogglebox but now people will see that I’m not just about sitting on the sofa. I’m about boxing and have been for years.”

And he gave an insight into his relationship with his rarely-seen son, who is as dedicated to the sport as he is.

He told the BBC: “Shy told me that he’d never let me pull him out of a fight and would rather die in the ring – but he’s my baby. He doesn’t want me to throw in the towel but am I going to sit there and watch my son potentially die in the ring?

“We love the sport but I’ll always choose my boy over boxing, any day of the week.”
