Gogglebox star Stephen Webb reveals he was the victim of a homophobic attack as he walked through hometown with partner

GOGGLEBOX star Stephen Webb has been left shaken up following a homophobic attack last night.

The hairdresser claims he was walking along the sea front in Hove with his husband Daniel Lustig, when then the vile slur was used against them.

Sharing his experience, Stephen added: “The fight continues! Be aware be safe! #gay #pride #homophobiastillexists.”

The couple were met with an outpouring of support, with one fan writing: “Oh I’m so sorry that happened to you !!!!!!!! Hope your both feeling ok. Just know we all love you both and these ignorant idiots don’t deserve your time!!!!!! Sending lots of love.”

A second added: “Disgusting. This is happening in Brighton as Britain’s most lgbt friendly places.”

While a third commented: “I’m so sorry this happened to you both. Be proud and strong.”

Stephen has been a regular on Gogglebox since it first hit our screens in 2013.

He appeared on the show alongside his ex Christopher Steed.

Then in 2019 Daniel showed his face on the sofa for the first time.

The Gogglebox stars married in a romantic ceremony in France in July 2018 at the picturesque Chateau de Lisse in Lot-et-Garonne.

They enjoyed a two-and-a-half year engagement after the TV star proposed to his other half, also a hairdresser, in front of the Taj Mahal during a holiday to India.

Stephen previously told new! Magazine that he wasn’t going to the show but was won over when they mentioned money.

He explained: “I said no originally. I didn’t want to be known for some awful reality show. But they won me around when they said they would pay us.

“We weren’t really told what it was going to be, so I never really understood it. Then, when the show went out, my friends and family were all texting and it just seemed everyone was laughing.”

“As soon as I watched it, I got it. I didn’t know it was going to last for 10 years, but I knew it was good.”
