Gogglebox’s Jenny and Lee confirm show will be back in February after last week’s series finale

GOGGLEBOX’S Jenny and Lee have confirmed that the show will be back in February after last week’s series finale.

Fans were devastated when the pair previously confirmed that they wouldn’t be back on our screens this year, but had good news as they took to their joint Instagram account today.

Jenny and Lee thrilled fans as they confirmed when Gogglebox will be back

Sitting in front of the stunning Christmas tree in Lee’s caravan, the pair sent their well-wishes to followers as they thanked them for their ongoing support.

They explained in the clip: “We just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

“And we’d like to thank you for supporting us and all the lovely comments you send us each week.”

Rounding off the video with a huge smile and wave to the camera, they then dropped: “Anyways, we’ll be back in February – bye!”

Followers could not hide their excitement at the news, flocking to the comments to share their reaction.

One fan wrote: “Merry Christmas, bring on February!”

Another echoed: “Look forward to February – Merry Christmas & happy new year to you both”.

The pair disappointed fans on Friday when they revealed that that night’s Gogglebox was the last in the series.

They’d previously revealed they were putting up Lee’s tree as filming for the show had finished for the year

They were finally able to get into the festive spirit as they put up Lee’s Christmas tree after seeing off the Channel 4 cameras, which had taken up the space usually meant for their decorations.

Captioning a selfie with the tree in the background, Jenny and Lee explained: “Happy Friday everyone or is it last Gogglebox of the series tonight

“Hope you enjoy the show bit of light relief

“Still doing the tree now the cameras

have gone see ya at 9 #Gogglebox”.

The best friends are Gogglebox fan favourites

The TV favourites joined the long-running series in 2014, filming from Lee’s caravan – with Jenny even moving in with her pal during lockdown so that they could continue to shoot safely.

Last month, viewers were stunned when Lee’s boyfriend of 26 years made an off-screen cameo on the show.

While Lee and Jenny bickered over the “soggy” chicken she made, he shouted over: “Stephen, was the chicken crispy on Sunday?”

A voice was heard from across the room, replying bluntly: “No.”

She replied: “Knackers to both of you – I won’t do it no more.”

Stephen lives in Cyprus and he and Lee had been forced to spend much of the year apart due to the coronavirus pandemic limiting travel between Cyprus and the UK.

However, when the guidelines relaxed Stephen jetted over to be with his long-term partner – with he and Jenny also close friends.
