GOGGLEBOX’S Jenny and Lee put up their Christmas tree as they confirmed that tonight’s episode of the Channel 4 show is the last in the series.
The fan favourites disappointed followers with the news, who begged for the programme to remain on air.
Taking to their shared Instagram page earlier this evening, the best friends posed for a selfie as Jenny fussed around the decorations.
Lee is the one snapping the pic, with twinkling star lights visible behind his head.
Jenny is beaming as she fixes the stunning Christmas tree, with the caption reading: “Happy Friday everyone or is it last Gogglebox of the series tonight 
“Hope you enjoy the show bit of light relief 
”
They went on to add that the Channel 4 cameras had interfered with their festive décor before, explaining: “Still doing the tree now the cameras 
have gone see ya at 9 #Gogglebox”.
Fans were devastated to learn that Gogglebox won’t be on our screens again this year, with one commenting: “Awww nooooo Friday evening telly won’t be the same
”
Another added: “Why oh why is it the last one”.
A third echoed: “Noooooo 
what will we do on Fridays without you to make us laugh!”
Jenny and Lee joined the long-running series in 2014, filming from Lee’s caravan – with Jenny even moving in with her pal during lockdown so that they could continue to shoot safely.
Last month, viewers were stunned when Lee’s boyfriend of 26 years made an off-screen cameo on the show.
While Lee and Jenny bickered over the “soggy” chicken she made, he shouted over: “Stephen, was the chicken crispy on Sunday?”
A voice was heard from across the room, replying bluntly: “No.”
She replied: “Knackers to both of you – I won’t do it no more.”
Stephen lives in Cyprus and he and Lee had been forced to spend much of the year apart due to the coronavirus pandemic limiting travel between Cyprus and the UK.
However, when the guidelines relaxed Stephen jetted over to be with his long-term partner – with he and Jenny also close friends.
