GOGGLEBOX’S Jenny Newby has confirmed her return to the show after undergoing surgery for a minor illness.
Jenny appears alongside her co-star Lee Riley on the hit Channel 4 series, with the duo among the favourites of its beloved cast.
Earlier this month, Lee confirmed that Jenny would be missing from the show – and was unable to attend the Baftas – following her dash to hospital.
At the time, he assured fans that Jenny would be fighting fit in no time – and he wasn’t wrong.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday afternoon, Lee posted an adorable video of them both on their official account.
Addressing their devoted 715k followers on the platform, Lee appeared alongside his Gogglebox companion with a little update.

“Hi everybody, you’ll never guess who I’ve just bumped into,” Lee began, before panning the camera onto a beaming Jenny.
Jenny, who looked in fine fettle, added: “I just want to thank you all for your kind get well wishes, they’ve really cheered me up, thank you very much.”
Jenny then shared her excitement on filming the twentieth series of the show.
Giving away the date of the new series, Lee then revealed: “September, guys. We’ll be back in September. Have a lovely summer everybody!”
Lee and Jenny first became friends after meeting in Jenny’s pub, where Lee was a regular.
Since then, they’ve become inseparable, jetting off on holidays together and even isolating together in Lee’s caravan during the first coronavirus lockdown.
Gogglebox nabbed the gong for best reality and constructed factual programme at the Baftas earlier this month, beating the likes of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Married At First Sight.
