Gogglebox’s Tom Malone reveals show secrets from being banned from switching seats to getting two free takeaways a week

GOGGLEBOX star Tom Malone has fascinated fans by revealing surprising secrets from the show.

The 26-year-old dancer says the TV stars are banned from switching seats during filming and they get two free takeaways a week.



Tom Malone has dished behind the scenes gossip

He was answering fans’ questions about the hit Channel 4 show on TikTok.

Tom told his followers: “Without a doubt, one of the best perks of Gogglebox is that every time we film, which is twice a week, the crew get us a takeaway of our choosing.

“It’s literally one of the most amazing things about the show, honest to god. It’s the best.”

He was then asked if he always has to sit in the same seats on the couch in his parents’ home.

Tom said: “Going back to six and a half years ago when we filmed our first episode of Gogglebox, I think it was season four, we just sat in those positions.

“That was just the natural positions we sat in. That was fine.

“However moving on from then, we were never allowed to change those positions.

“That’s because people don’t like change.”

He also admitted he’s NEVER met any of the other Gogglebox cast.



Tom confessed that he and his dad purposefully put the cakes into ‘rude positions’

“We don’t know any other families on the show, we’ve never met,” Tom said.

“Occasionally we’ll Tweet each other, but we don’t know each other – or like meet up or anything like that.

“I’ve never met any of them.”

He as previously told how he works with his dad Tom Snr to arrange their family snacks into cheeky positions to amuse viewers.



The Malones are known for their wide variety of treats during filming

Tom said: “Me and my dad before, put the cakes in different positions and different shapes to see if any eagle-eyed viewers would actually notice.

“So keep an eye out for that.”

He added the caption: “Sometimes quite rude shapes”, alongside the wide-eye emoji and an aubergine emoji.
