Good Morning Britain fans all have the same complaint as Richard Madeley returns to host ITV show alongside Susanna Reid

GOOD Morning Britain fans were moaning on Twitter this morning as Richard Madeley returned to host alongside Susanna Reid.

The I’m A Celeb star took a week’s break in the Cotswolds before returning to his seat and was replaced by former MP and Strictly Come Dancing star Ed Balls.

Some viewers moaned about Richard’s familiar presenting style

Today, Richard opened the show by discussing the news that Boris Johnson has been warned to axe Chancellor Rishi Sunak and the Prime Minister’s anger at the upcoming book about his wife Carrie.

One person said on Twitter: “This is beyond pathetic by Madeley.

“Both Sunak and Johnson referred to by their first names. Forget it Madeley, neither of them will give you a knighthood.”

Another viewer ranted: “Richard Madeley’s back

“‘Boris’ ‘Rishi’

“If #GMB pay their viewers £1 every time Tory politicians called by their first name we’ll all be millionaires by the weekend.”

A third person chimed: “OFF SWITCH! Uber-Tory Richard Madeley is back on @GMB chatting about “Boris” this “Boris” that. Then everyone joins in about “Boris”, like they’re his mate”

Last year The Celeb Report told how Richard had bagged Piers Morgan’s old job and was set to be a full-time presenter alongside Susanna.

Ed stepped in to host the show last year on a number of occasions after Piers left.

Richard, who is best known for his work with wife Judy,  is said to have landed a £300,000-a-year deal to front the show after a series of successful guest stints.

Piers, 56, left in March after refusing to apologise to Meghan Markle for comments he made on air.

He has joined talkTV and writes a weekly column for The Celeb Report.

On the day he stormed off set, GMB overtook rival BBC Breakfast in the ratings for the first time.

Within three months, they had fallen by almost half but have since steadily climbed.

Piers has now taken revenge on former employer ITV by pinching their brightest behind the scenes talent.

He has hired six key production staff from the channel including Erron Gordon – his former director on GMB – to operate his upcoming new primetime show on TalkTV.
