GOOD Morning Britain fans celebrated an “upbeat” presenter switch-up on Thursday’s show.
Viewers of the ITV daytime series were quick to spot a huge change in the opening weather report.

Des Coleman was at the helm of the ITV show’s weather report instead
Regular presenter Laura Tobin, 40 – who often wows in a series of stylish on-screen outfits – had been switched out of the schedule in favour of Des Coleman.
Des, 53, presented the summary of the frosty conditions in the UK and flagged the series of winter weather warnings issued by authorities.
One fan took to celebrate and wrote: “Love Des doing the weather, he’s upbeat, happy, doesn’t lecture us like we’re all slightly dim – and generally brightens up our morning! 
.”
Another put: “Yay, Des is back to wake us all up 
”
Yet one called out the forecaster’s smart blue suit and white shirt, and sourly added: “Weatherman des thinks he’s on the bloody catwalk.”
Laura Tobin was fronting the weather yesterday but was replaced this morning by Des.
Des previously left Good Morning Britain viewers stunned after he revealed his real age.
The popular presenter is familiar to EastEnders fans for playing Lenny Wallace from 1996 to 1999.
The character appeared alongside pal Huw Edwards in Albert Square’s short-lived ‘squat’ where they tormented Ian Beale.
Des went on to appear in Casualty, The Bill and even appeared in the West End before moving into weather presenting.
Des’ career in weather started at the BBC in 2007 after getting trained by the Met Office.
He joined the ITV weather unit in 2016 and regularly fronts forecasts for Central, the broadcaster’s Midlands operation.
