Good Morning Britain viewers thrilled as fan favourite guest host returns

GOOD Morning Britain viewers celebrated the return of guest host Martin Lewis.

Susanna Reid has had a week of upheaval as her co-presenters were swapped daily.

On Monday she kicked off the week with Ed Balls.

Then on Tuesday she was presenting alongside Ben Shephard.

Money-saving guru Martin normally presents on Mondays to help give viewers cost-saving tips.

But he was in today – and fans were thrilled.

Former politician Ed Balls hosted Monday’s breakfast show, but was replaced in a surprise show shake-up.

Instead of presenting Monday through to Wednesday, Ben Shephard returned to the hot seat alongside Susanna – despite it not being his usual days.

Susanna is typically joined by a guest presenter on Monday through to Wednesday before reuniting with Ben on Thursday.

He then takes over on Friday alongside Kate Garraway as Susanna’s four-day week comes to an end.

Ed had replaced guest host Richard Madeley on Monday’s Good Morning Britain after facing backlash while presenting last week.

He was criticised by viewers for making a controversial comment about dentists.

The 66-year-old told viewers that dentists in the NHS aren’t willing to extract teeth.

He told the Vice Chairman of the British Dental Association Eddie Crouch: “I’m a reporter, I report what I’m told. This wasn’t my personal opinion yesterday, it was what a veteran dentist had told me.

“I sparked a huge response from people!”
