Good Morning Britain WILL return tomorrow as Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard front special show after the Queen’s death

ITV have announced a special edition of Good Morning Britain will air after the Queen’s death aged 96.

The channel has been showing rolling news coverage since Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II‘s passing was revealed.

Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard will host Good Morning Britain tomorrow

Good Morning Britain will be the only of ITV’s regular shows to air after schedules were cleared for tributes and news reports.

Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard will front the morning news show for three hours on Friday morning.

It will air from 6am until 9am and will be followed by an extended ITV News Special until 8.30pm.

Then, at 8.30pm tomorrow Jonathan Dimbleby will front Queen Elizabeth II – The Longest Reign.

Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women or ITV’s various gameshows will not appear.

Susanna, 51, posted a tribute to the Queen on Instagram writing: “No one more likely to be so loved, admired and respected than Her Majesty The Queen and although she cannot be immortal, I think we have always hoped she might be

Other than GMB and two special tribute shows, ITV News will be broadcasting non-stop.

At 11pm tonight, it will show Queen Elizabeth II, an hour-long obituary programme narrated by Mary Nightingale.

It looks at the life of the Queen and features interviews with relatives and commentators.

There will also be no commercial breaks on ITV’s main channel during this period.

The other special is Queen Elizabeth II – The Longest Reign, at 8.30 on Friday.

ITV said “The programme is an authored tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, charting her historic reign, from its unlikely beginnings, through the splendour of the coronation, the triumphs and tragedies of the 20th century, to the present day.”

News at Ten will air as usual.
