GOOD Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin insulted Charlotte Hawkins today in a very awkward live TV moment.
Charlotte, 46, looked furious and threatened to “pull the plug” on Laura, but later insisted “we love each other really”.
The usually bubbly meteorologist made the slip-up when host Charlotte handed over to her from the studio.
Laura was presenting the weather outside a shopping centre in West London, when she told Charlotte she hadn’t started her Christmas shopping.
She said: “You know, I’ve spoken to so many people who have already done their Christmas shopping, and I haven’t done any yet, I refuse to! But I’m close enough here.”
Shocked at her confession, Charlotte asked her: “Bring me back something nice!”
But Laura replied: “OK I shall. I shall work on something to improve your face.”
Her co-star let out a huge gasp, and shaking her head she snapped: “You’re in so much trouble!”
Charlotte disappeared from the screen and viewers saw Laura cringe as she realised her mistake, adding: “What is she going to do to me?”
Posting on Instagram, the TV meteorologist posed in front of a giant light-up 40, also holding up balloons in one snap alongside her twin brother.
Laura recently stunned viewers for a different reason – when she revealed her real age.
Viewers said she could pass for 10 years younger as she dazzled in a slinky black mini dress on her birthday.
She captioned a post on Instagram: “This is 40! An actual party-My first one since before the pandemic and it was mine!
“I had soooo much fun, friends, fizz and food-Plus lots of dancing-it was great to dance again!”
But her followers were more distracted by her surprising age, with one commenting: “40, but look 30 at the most!
”
Another gasped: “Looks like 30!!!!
”
Laura joined Daybreak as the weather presenter in 2012, and stayed on when the ITV breakfast show was replaced with Good Morning Britain in 2014.
She married husband Dean Brown in August 2010, and the pair share four-year-old daughter Charlotte.
