It is on the market for £1.95million

Located in Membury, Axminster, the home could now be yours after going up for sale – but it would set you back a whopping £1,950,000.

The home was designed to replicate an ammonite fossil found on the site of the build.

Thanks to its intricate design, it lead to show host Kevin McCloud to compare it to a ‘snake’ thanks to its twisty exterior.

Based on the Fibonacci spiral, the exceptional home is woven into the Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty where it is built, impressing with its modern and sleek look but effectively fitting into the landscape around it.

Originally predicted to take a full 12 months to complete, the programme showed how the home had taken a full year longer than anticipated before it was fully finished.

As well as this, the homeowners originally budgeted £600,000 to make the house a home but more than DOUBLED the predicted spend after going £800,000 over budget.

The five-bedroom home used renewable technologies to make it incredibly sustainable and to cater to off-grid living.

As a result of the curvature of the building, natural light floods through the home creating a gentle cohesion between its beautiful surroundings and the interior living quarters.

At the time, the owners remarked how the time to took to build the property was “undoubtedly” worth it and that it was the most “beautiful” building.

The home features expansive gardens that are beautifully cared for and features a lush wildflower meadow.
