Grange Hill legend Lee MacDonald has bravely shared that he is currently battling skin cancer. The former child TV star, best known for his role as Zammo McGuire, discovered an "unusual" spot on his face which led to the diagnosis.

Lee MacDonald shot to fame in the 80s with his role as heroin addict Zammo Macguire in the BBC school drama Grange Hill. His years on the show made him a prominent figure in the anti-drugs campaign "Just Say No," eventually leading to a meeting with First Lady Nancy Reagan in the US.
Struggles and Health Battles
Despite his success, Lee faced personal battles, including a serious car accident that shattered his dreams of becoming a professional boxer. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 43 after years of silently struggling with his mental health.
