Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers gives major cancer update after 30 bouts of chemotherapy

The TV cook revealed his diagnosis a year ago — but did not say what type of cancer he had.

Dave, 65, said: ‘I’ve had 30 lots of chemo over three weeks and then a week off. It’s going the right way’

The 65-year-old said: “I’m doing all right. It’s a work in progress.

“I’ve had 30 lots of chemo over three weeks and then a week off. It’s going the right way.”

He told The Times doctors think radiotherapy will turn off the cancer.

He added: “That’s five sessions every other week.

“Then I film for two weeks, then go back on chemo — twice a month.”

Chemo stopped Dave riding for a time — but he and TV partner Si King are filming a trip from Scotland to Devon.

Si, 56, praised his buddy, saying: “He’s a scrapper. He’s a fighter.”

And Dave insists his hair is now better than it was before chemo.
