From Child Star to Unrecognisable

Former child actor Jamie Waylett, who played Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter film franchise, looks completely different after his two-year stint in prison. The 34-year-old actor, once known for his role as one-half of Draco Malfoy's entourage, has led a significantly changed life since his acting days.

Fall from Fame

Waylett featured in six Harry Potter films but was dropped from the last two after being caught growing cannabis. His promising acting career took another hit when he was involved in the London riots in 2011. He was arrested for violent disorder and handling stolen goods, including a bottle of champagne from Sainsbury's.

Prosecution Details

The court heard that Waylett was photographed on several occasions with a bottle full of petrol, with a rag as a wick. Although he did not throw or intend to use it, the judge deemed its possession as terrifying for onlookers.

A Withered Actor

During his trial at Wood Green Crown Court, Waylett's defence team described him as a "withered actor by the age of 22." They expressed disappointment that the Harry Potter films, which were meant to bring him better fortune, ultimately did not.

Life After Prison

Currently, Waylett earns money by making personalized videos on the platform Cameo. Fans can pay £164 for a clip where he delivers personal messages. In one video, he proudly declares, "Slytherin for life," and in another, he introduces himself as "Vincent Crabbe, straight outta' Hogwarts."

The Rise and Fall of Vincent Crabbe

Waylett's character, Vincent Crabbe, played a significant role in the Harry Potter franchise, often seen alongside Draco Malfoy. One memorable scene showed Hermione Granger (played by Emma Watson) drugging Crabbe and his partner Gregory Goyle with enchanted cupcakes. Later, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley would transform into Crabbe and Goyle using their hair to gather information from Malfoy.

Uncertain Future

Following his departure from the Harry Potter films, Waylett's acting career came to a halt. It remains uncertain whether he will pursue acting again in the future.

A Life Transformed

From his days as a child star to his recent struggles with the law, Jamie Waylett's life has taken many unexpected turns. Now unrecognisable with a tattooed face, the actor faces an uncertain future as he tries to rebuild his career and move on from his troubled past.
