IT’S fair to say Jacques O’Neill has ruffled a few feathers since entering the Love island villa.
Things seem to go wrong for the rugby ace during the Casa Amor phase on the show – and now fans fear he has quit the ITV2 show.
Has Jacques left the Love Island villa?
ITV revealed that Jacques had left the show on July 12, 2022.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode.
“We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.”
The 23-year-old was a late addition to the villa, and his arrival was a surprise to former girlfriend Gemma Owen.

What happened between Jacques and Paige?
After his shock arrival, Jacques coupled up with Paige Thorne, and had a brief stint with Danica Taylor.
He received criticism from fans after former islander Cheyanne Kerr revealed what happened between them in Casa Amor – in Paige’s absence.
Paige labelled Jacques “immature“, and avoided him, but Jacques made efforts to talk her round, including a romantic note written in lipstick on a kitchen roll.
However, they then decided to give it another go, with fans shocked by Paige’s decision to go back to him.
All was well until hunk in trunks Adam Collard arrived on the scene and made a beeline for Jacques’ girl.
In a sneak peek to tonight’s episode (July 12, 2022), viewers saw Jacques fuming at season 4 star Adam’s arrival in the villa.
What has Jacques said about leaving the villa?
Jacques is yet to comment on his shock departure from Love Island.
However, he had previously threatened to “walk out” when Paige initially refused to give him another chance after he cheated on her.
He was shown telling Luca Bish: “No point me being here.”
Fans immediately thought he was going to walk then, but he stayed after he patched things up with Paige.
