Helen Flanagan reveals she’s in talks for huge return to TV after I’m A Celeb South Africa

HELEN Flanagan has revealed she’s been in talks with Coronation Street bosses about a return to the soap.

The Rosie Webster actress, who last appeared on the cobbles in 2018, has stepped back from telly roles in recent years to raise her three children – Matilda, seven, Delilah, four and Charlie, two.

But Corrie has never been far from her mind and she’d love to bring some of her real life parenting skills to the small screen with a bombshell soap storyline.

In a new interview with OK!, Helen confirmed she has been in contact with the soap chiefs and made no secret of her desire to reprise her role.

She said: “I’d like to see Rosie be a mum, I’d love to channel that. I’d love her to come back with a baby that she hadn’t told Sally about – Sally would be a good grandma.”

Helen is making another TV comeback tonight as part of the I’m A Celebrity South Africa cast, having starred in the 2012 series.

Her return is all the more surprising after she said she was “absolutely destroyed” during her first appearance on the show.

The 32-year-old told Mail Online: “It was just ridiculous. I was just like, ‘Oh, I’ll be fine. I’ll chill in my bikini, make some friends, it will be good for me…’

“I’d watched a few episodes but I didn’t watch it in detail. I was only just YouTubing things when I was on my plane, then I was thinking, ‘It won’t be that bad.”

She added: “I was horrified.

“I’ll never forget it. When I arrived at the camp there were rats everywhere.

“I’d never seen a rat. I was just absolutely thrown. I felt sick. I was so scared. I was just horrified by everything.”

Helen was previously branded the “worst culprit” for bottling trials by former I’m A Celeb star Charlie Brooks.

The actress told GMB: “Helen! As lovely as she is there were a few times where I saw it and she just didn’t even get into it.”

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa starts tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
