RETURNING to Holby City in an attempt to save the hospital, Jac Naylor is also battling for her life.
Her fight will only get harder as the surgeon will get devastating news about her health in an upcoming episode of the Casualty spin-off.
In August, 2021, Jac (portrayed by Rosie Marcel) dropped a bombshell on her colleague Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry) when she announced she had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Since then, the Holby City character has vowed to put up a fight against her illness, determined to save the hospital she was called back to from the special measures that were put into place.
But in a new episode of the medical drama due to air next week (Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 7:50pm), Jac will receive more terrible news about her health.
In this emotional episode airing on BBC One, she will learn from Eli and Max that, despite the operation she underwent, her tumour is progressing at a worrying rapid rate, making her terminal.

Jac’s fighting spirit remains just as strong as she soon looks at alternative treatments.
After some research, she will turn to Eli (Davood Ghadami), claiming him to be her only hope and imploring him to perform surgery on her.
But while it is supposed to buy her some time, the procedure is revealed to be risky.
Faced with his friend’s despair, Eli will be ethically compromised. Will he chose Jac over his profession?
Aside from her declining health, Jac has also made it her mission to save Holby City Hospital.
Jac and her fellow staff members have gone through another inspection led by the Clinical Strategy Directorate (CSD).
The surgeon had to fight through her symptoms to present to the board.
How will she cope with her tumour until Holby City’s grand finale?
BBC is currently airing the programme’s twenty-third and last season.
Holby City’s last ever episode will be revealed in March, 2022, although a precise date has yet to be announced.
