Holly Willoughby enjoys a boozy Snowball cocktail as she gears up for her first This Morning appearance on Christmas Day

HOLLY Willoughby has shared a snap of her getting into the festive spirit ahead of the This Morning Christmas Day special.

The 40-year-old smiled in a new picture posted to her Wylde Moon Instagram account, showing her enjoying a boozy Snowball cocktail.

Tomorrow’s episode of This Morning will see her knocking back more cocktails

Her blonde bob was sleek and straight and she flashed red nails to match her statement lip colour.

Ensuring the photo was as Christmassy as possible, Holly wore a black dress adorned with sparkly silver stars.

Alongside the snap, the caption said: “It’s finally Christmas Eve. The presents are wrapped, the sparkles are on, and the Willoughby’s have Snowball’s in hand, waiting patiently for Santa to arrive…

Tomorrow Holly and her This Morning co-star will appear in a pre-recorded episode of the ITV show – which will see them knocking back more booze while being joined by special guests.

Holly opens the pre-recorded show asking about Santa, saying: “Has he been?…  It’s the most wonderful time of the year and we’re delighted to be spending it with you!”

Phillip adds: “Whether you are busy opening your presents right now, or you’re tucking into chocolate or having a well deserved lie in… and whether you’re with family or friends or on your own this year, we’re here throughout the morning.”

The presenting duo will be joined musical guests Aled Jones and Leona Lewis. They’ll also play drinking games with Josie Gibson and Gino D’Acampo.

And viewers will get to see what Holly and Phil bought each other for Christmas, as they exchanged gifts during the special episode.

Earlier this month Holly appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show and insisted she and Phil really are best friends – despite reports she was gearing up to quit This Morning.

She said: “I do really love him. I really love him. We’re lucky. We really are.

“We’re just incredibly lucky. So no, I’m not retiring. That’s a really long answer.”

Discussing retiring with the other guests, she said: “I never think like that. I feel very lucky to be on that show. The show changes so much, I think that’s the beauty of This Morning.

“Recently it’s had the highest ratings it’s had in 15 years. It’s doing really, really well which is extraordinary for a show that’s been around for as long as it has. And I think because it changes and it evolves and it adapts.”
