Holly Willoughby ‘sees fairies every day’ as she calls believers ‘my people’ ahead of This Morning interview

HOLLY Willoughby described two This Morning guests who believe in fairies as “my people” ahead of their interview.

The TV star, who believes in the alt-therapy of healing crystals, shared part of her auto-cue script from the show on Instagram.

Holly Willoughby today seemed to suggest she was a believer in fairies

She was joined on This Morning by two women who claimed to see the mythical creatures daily

It read: “We’re chatting to the women who live enchanted fairy lives and claim to see the mythical woodland creatures daily.”

Holly captioned it “My people” along with a fairy emoji.

It split opinion, with some of her followers labelling it ‘fantasy rubbish’ while others shared love hearts.

During the interview itself Holly was left open-mouthed as co-host Phillip Schofield revealed his encounter with “shape-shifting fairies” as a child.

Guests Avi and Terry said they sometimes felt a fairy’s energy but would only see an animal – speculating that they can take the form of any creature.

Phil then recalled: “I was walking, when I was young, with my folks in Cornwall – they’d all seen rabbits and I hadn’t seen one. We walked down this path, and they said: ‘Look, there’s a fairy ring of toadstools’.

“I stood in the middle of this fairy ring of toadstools and said: ‘I want to see a rabbit!’ and at that second, a rabbit ran straight across and in front of me.”

Holly gasped as she exclaimed: “You see!”

The women then confirmed: “That was probably a fairy that has shape-shifted as a rabbit.”

Despite his story, This Morning viewers believed that Phil’s facial expressions gave away how he really felt about the topic.

While interviewing the women, he appeared to be unable to keep a straight face – looking genuinely baffled as he expressed disbelief over their claims.
