HOLLY Willoughby issued an “emotionless” statement because she’s “had enough of being attacked” following Phillip Schofield’s affair with a younger colleague.
Breaking her silence on Instagram today, Holly, 42, accused her former This Morning colleague of lying to her over his affair with the ITV employee.

Schofield, 61 – who was axed by This Morning just last week – has now quit ITV after the affair with the male ITV employee was exposed.
And PR and personal brand specialist Carl Speight has explained that Holly’s “telling” statement proves she’s “had enough” of what is going on.
“Holly is having none of this, and is shutting it down completely,” She said.
Continuing: “The statement is clear, concise and emotionless. It’s not exactly in line with Holly’s usual super friendly, happy vibe, or even her usual approach to speculation surrounding her.
“She’s usually much more private and rightly values her own privacy. That said, with the sheer volume of accusations from outsiders being fired at her, she simply had to answer it.”
Holly broke her silence today with a statement which read: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news.
“When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.
“It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly.”
PR and personal brand specialist Carla continued to explain that Holly’s statement “makes it clear, on a personal level, that she was also lied to.”
She adds: “Holly used carefully chosen words to provide clarity in a professional and personal way that serves to stop any further outbursts.
“It’s also a clear shot at the people riling up the rumour mill with all their accusations. She’s simply shutting them down in one swift statement.
“What’s impressive is that it’s come direct from Holly herself, rather than a spokesperson. She clearly cares deeply about what’s going on, though won’t be spilling the tea or tears on her socials because it’s not necessary and she doesn’t want to encourage the speculation.”
Phillip Schofield was still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe – who he married in 1993 – at the time of the affair.
Schofield opened up about being gay in 2020, but remained married to wife Stephanie.
Schofield was only just axed from This Morning last week — unable to bid farewell to his fans.
His exit was confirmed after weeks of intense speculation about his future and a feud with co-host Holly — and as an insider revealed the row was even putting off guests from appearing with them.
