Hollyoaks and Coronation Street actor Miles Higson unrecognisable as he swaps acting for a career in sales management

HOLLYOAKS actor Miles Higson looks unrecognisable after switching acting for a sales management career.

The Channel 4 star, 29, is known by fans for portraying Seth Costello a handful of times – from 2010 to 2011 and again from 2020 to 2021.

Miles Higson has played Hollyoaks’ Seth Costello in two stints

Miles’ soap debut saw him sporting chopping locks with a sweeping side-fringe

In the dramatic Hollyoaks scenes, he was revealed as the secret boyfriend of Theresa McQueen – as well as the mysterious helper to Silas in blackmailing the soap family.

He was the grandson of psychopathic serial killer who was terrorising the McQueen family with his blackmail doll.

Described as a cocky and self-assured schoolboy when he first appeared on the soap, Seth was involved some major plot lines during his first stint on the Channel 4 serial drama.

He struggled with his body image and turned to steroids, was left broken after discovering his father’s affair with his brother’s fiancé, and was emotionally blackmailed by Warren Fox.

In 2020, he took to Instagram to comment on his return to the soap.

He shared: “The Christmas gift you’ve all been yearning for – My face back on the tele.”

The Londoner also starred as Blake Deeley for a one-off Coronation Street episode, in 2019, as well as comedy Cucumber.

Yet he appears to have switched it all up for the world of markleting.

It sees Miles go back to his roots, after studying the discipline at The University of Manchester for his degree.

He classes himself as self employed, and wrote in his LinkedIn biography: “Experienced Event & Sales Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the performing arts industry.

“Skilled in Management, Social Media, Film, Short Films, and Commercials.

“Strong operations professional with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Business Management & Marketing from The University of Manchester.”

He has kept his blonde hair but now has a moustache and stubble in the shot captured for his account.

Miles’ look marks a stark cry from his first role as Seth – where he favoured bold checked shirts and a choppy mane with a side-fringe.

Meanwhile, addressing future roles in the acting world, he told Digital Spy: “I did a stint on Corrie in 2019. Filming on the cobbles was one to tick off the bucket list.

“I try not to look to the future too much, so wouldn’t say I’ve got my eye on a particular job.”

He added: “Some of my cast mates have become lifelong friends and family. I had a bit of a rough time in my personal life last year, and it’s some of my acting mates – Rachel Shenton especially – that helped me through.

“Actors are a rare breed. We think differently and I believe have an emotional openness that not everyone has – it is our job at the end of the day.

“Making friends with some of those people when I was 17 has drastically changed my life for the better.”
