MORE than a decade has gone by since actor Charlie Behan made his debut as Charlie Dean in Chester.
But Hollyoaks fans may not know he was given another role in the Channel 4 drama before becoming a series regular.

But did you know he had another role a year before becoming a series regular?
His first stint in Hollyoaks was brief
The 18-year-old soap star appeared as the son of an imprisoned Becca Dean for the first time in 2011, when he was still a child.
Yet not long before he became a familiar face in the fictional Chester village, Charlie bagged a completely different role on the same soap.
The actor was cast as Tre Davenport in 2010 who was one of Phil Sharpe’s sons.
Diehard Hollyoaks fans may remember that Phil was hiding an entire family, which Tre was a part of.
Charlie’s first Hollyoaks stint was a small one as he only appeared as the lad in just a handful of episodes.
However, the small part led to Charlie’s big break in the long-running drama as he remained on bosses’ radar when they were looking to cast a child actor a year later.
He’s been a fixture in Hollyoaks ever since landing the role of Charlie Dean and has been involved in a plethora of juicy storylines.
As mentioned above, Charlie is the son of Becca Dean and was born behind bars when she was serving time for alleged sexual activity with a minor.
His aunt Nancy Osborne (played by Jessica Fox) became his guardian.
The lad was originally portrayed by Joshua McConville from his birth in 2006 and until 2010.
Joshua has been keeping a low profile since his Hollyoaks exit as his other acting credits are unknown.
Meanwhile, Charlie Dean’s routine in the village was made of many ups and downs.
In 2015, he was notably traumatised after witnessing the Gloved Hand Killer, aka Lindsey Roscoe, attack Dr Charles S’Avage.
The villain ended up threatening the teen, who was then plagued with nightmares before he eventually told Nancy what he had seen.
More recently, Charlie has been romantically involved with Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer).
The young girl suffered a miscarriage earlier this year a day after deciding to keep Charlie’s baby.
