HOLLYOAKS star Lorna Pegler has swapped fame for a career in fitness 20 years after featuring in one of the soap’s most memorable storylines.
The actress played Emily Taylor who hit the headlines at the time when she started up a lesbian relationship with Gina Patrick (Dannielle Brent) on the Channel 4 soap.
During her tenure on the soap, viewers watched as her character cheated on Gina with Nikki Sullivan, who later revealed she only kissed Emily to see how kissing a woman would feel.
Following the initial drama, Emily and Gina eventually reconciled, before the pair left Chester altogether to work in an orphanage in China.
But after leaving for pastures anew with Gina, actress Lorna went on to star in BBC soap Doctors and ITV’s The Bill.
She also starred in comedy series Is Harry on the Boat? as Rosie Chadderton from 2002 to 2003.
The show, which aired for two seasons, was based on the 2001 film of the same name that followed a tour rep facing his first summer in Ibiza and his pursuit to have the ultimate party.
Nearly 20 years on from her last TV stint, Lorna has turned her back on acting and is firmly focusing on her fitness career.
According to Lorna’s social media, she works with several different Pilates studios including Pilates Corp as an instructor.
On their website, the former soap star explained that her classes focus on, “exercises to strengthen the back, the core and involve a whole body work out.
“I work with the breath to get a mind body connection happening in class,” she added.
Late last month, Lorna married her partner of 17 years, Simon Allix, who she shares children Roma and Rive with, at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Paying to tribute to her other half, who works in VFX Movie Production, she shared a romantic snap of them on their wedding day to her Instagram.
She wrote alongside the heartwarming photo: “We got married. 17 years… 2 kids and loved up.
“My love of my life. You make us happy.
