HOLLYOAKS star Jennifer Metcalfe has had a holiday nightmare in Dubai.
The actress, 39, is in the Middle East with her young son Daye for New Year, and she’ll be hoping 2023 begins with slightly more luck.

Writing on Instagram yesterday, she explained she is without a phone after two unfortunate incidents.
She wrote: “Day 1 leave phone in taxi.
“Day 2 Drop phone in pool
“If you need to get in touch (I’d stay clear) Here’s ya best bet. Looking forward to day 3.”
She added: “No numbers and lost all chats on WhatsApp.”
Before the phone was rendered out of action, Jen managed to share a picture of Daye smiling as they exited the airport as well as one of her wearing shades and relaxing outdoors.
Mercedes McQueen actress Jen is currently at the heart of a dramatic soap storyline.
Her onscreen son Bobby continues to be a cause for major concern.
Already responsible for three deaths in his young life, Bobby tried to claim another victim in the form of his mum’s boyfriend Felix Westwood.
When Felix discovered Bobby was behind the arson attack on Price Slice that nearly cost his son DeMarcus’s life, he reported him to police without telling Mercedes.
The frightened mum attempted to help Bobby escape the country after discovering the seriousness of his predicament, but cops swooped on them at the port.
Showing some signs of a conscience, Bobby refused to let his mum take the rap and went to the station for questioning instead.
