Hollyoaks star Hannah Tointon gives birth to first baby with Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas

INBETWEENERS couple Hannah Tointon and Joe Thomas have welcomed a baby girl.

The happy news was revealed by her sister Kara, who is famous for playing Dawn Swann in EastEnders.

Hannah and Joe both appeared in sitcom The Inbetweeners, where their characters – she played Tara Brown while he was Simon Cooper – dated.

But while things went awkwardly wrong on screen, their romance blossomed away from the cameras.

They got engaged, and Hannah went on to star as Katy Fox, Warren’s little sister, in Hollyoaks.

Speaking on Ashley James’ Mum’s The Word parenting podcast, Kara revealed they’d had a little girl.

She explained to the former Made In Chelsea star: “My sister’s just had her first.

“What’s funny is that on Joe’s side there’s only boys, even during the scan they accidentally said he at one point, so they’d gone along thinking: ‘Well, it’s a boy’.

“Everyone playing the shape game etc said she’s having a boy, so when they eventually had a girl… it was really brilliant, but it knocked them for six.”

She added: “So they hadn’t even decided on a girls’ name. They left it as a surprise.”
