House of Games viewers all have the same complaint as contestants struggle with round

HOUSE of Games viewers were all left complaining about the contestants’ inability to spell simple words.

Every week four new famous faces join host Richard Osman to play a host of different games to win the coveted prize.

However, viewers were left frustrated over the spelling round.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “Disappointed, as ever, by spelling standards on #houseofgames.”

Another wrote: “I really hate these spelling rounds where contestants pretend they can’t spell, presumably because they think it isn’t cool. And amazement when the partner gets it right.”

A third penned: “Brits really can’t spell, eh. None of those words were difficult.”

Some of the words viewers were baffled by the contestants’ struggle to spell included Phoebe, Connoisseur, Harpsichord, Morocco and Quebec.

In Monday’s episode, Chloe Petts incorrected spelled Rumpelstiltskin.

The celebrity contestants taking on the quiz included Matthew Horne, Martel Maxwell, Chloe and Alex Beresford .

While the TV presenter looked pleased to be taking part in the show – viewers at home were less than delighted to see him taking part.

“Couldn’t they have found anyone better than fame hungry Alex Beresford?” one slammed as the programme started.

A second chimed in: “Had to turn off House of Games as hate seeing that moron Alex Beresford on TV yet again.

“No one wants to watch this guy, get him off our screens. He’s nobody.”

“Can’t watch Beresford, so full of his own self-importance – sadly had to turn it over,” a third concurred of the GMB star’s appearance.

House of Games is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
