How many episodes are there in The Undoing?

There are six episodes in the Sky Atlantic series.

The Undoing has been airing on Mondays at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.

US viewers can watch new episodes on HBO every Sunday at 9pm ET.

In the UK it is also available to watch on NOW TV, with an episode dropping each week after it has aired in the US.

What happened in the first episode of The Undoing?

Grace Fraser is a successful therapist who lives in New York City with her husband Jonathan, an oncologist, and their young son Henry, who attends the elite Reardon School.

Grace helps some of the other Reardon parents plan an auction event, where she meets an enigmatic woman named Elena.

Grace continues to encounter Elena over the next several days: once in a gym bathroom, where a fully nude Elena approaches her and remarks on her “kindness,” and later at the auction itself, where Grace finds Elena crying in the bathroom and consoles her.

As she leaves the event, Elena kisses Grace on the lips in the elevator.

The next day, Elena’s corpse is discovered in her studio by Elena’s young son, also a Reardon student.

The police rule the case a murder and question Grace and her friends – with Elena’s husband noted as a potential suspect.

Grace attempts to reach Jonathan, who is supposedly at an oncology conference in Cleveland, but finds that he has left his smartphone at their apartment.

Unable to trace her husband’s whereabouts, Grace becomes paranoid and experiences visions of the scene of Elena’s murder.

What happened in the second episode of The Undoing?

Viewers were left on the edge of their seats when Grace Fraser called the police on husband Jonathan, who is wanted for Elena Alves’ murder.

The last few minutes of episode two reached boiling point as Grace lost it after she found out Jonathan, who had left town, had been lying to her.

She discovered he had been having an affair, he lost his job and he was also suspected to be Elena’s killer.

After ripping apart her bedroom, a distressed Grace was left shaking with fear when Jonathan, who appeared from nowhere, pleaded with his wife and told her he wasn’t the murderer, before finally telling the truth about his affair.

The pair began a heated argument which their son Henry (Noah Jupe) overheard and while Jonathan ran over to give him a hug, Grace turned her husband in.

What happened in the third episode of The Undoing?

Episode three sees the NYPD arriving by helicopter to pick up Jonathan – but he still claims he is innocent.

Our suspicions were also confirmed – Elena’s baby daughter is Jonathan’s.

Grace meets up with Jonathan’s lawyer, nicknamed The Badger, and tells him she won’t vouch for Jonathan’s innocence.

Also in the episode Grace discovers that her father Franklin loaned Jonathan money – and later sees him watching Elena’s husband Fernando with their baby daughter through a window.

At the end of the episode, Grace becomes a suspect herself when police dramatically show her CCTV footage near the murder scene on the night Elena was killed.

What happened in the fourth episode of The Undoing?

After the bombshell of the CCTV footage showing Grace near the murder scene, we discover that police don’t suspect her directly of the murder but believe she is hiding something – why else would she be taking a stroll blocks away from Elena’s murder?

Jonathan admits to Grace’s lawyer, Fitzgerald, that he had an affair with another woman as well as Elena.

Fitzgerald decides he needs to arrange his bail – and Grace is forced to ask her father for two million dollars worth of bail money.

Grace discovers later in the episode that murdered Elena rang her phone multiple times before she was killed and police discovered a huge oil painting of Grace in Elena’s studio.

At the end of the episode, Jonathan does a TV interview in which he reveals he did not commit the murder – but suspects someone else.

When will The Undoing end?

The show will come to an end in the UK on Monday, November 30, 2020, on Sky Atlantic at 9pm.

In the US it will air the day before on HBO at 9pm ET.

After this date, in the UK, you will then be able to stream the entire series on Now TV until December 30, 2020.
