THE first series of I Can See Your Voice UK airs on our screens this weekend (Saturday, April 10).
The new gameshow sees teams of two players predict who can and cannot sing from a group of mystery strangers – without hearing them sing. Here’s how you can apply to be on I Can See Your Voice UK.
How can I apply to be on I Can See Your Voice UK?
Teams of two people from the same household or support bubble can apply to take part in the show by visiting bbc.co.uk/takepart.
Contestants must be aged 18 or over and are not required to sing.
Describing the show, host Paddy McGuinness said: “You’ve got to guess by how they hold the microphone, their mannerisms, little video clips we see of their home life, and lip-sync rounds.
“You want to leave a good singer to the very end, and get rid of the bad singers all throughout the show.”
What is the prize for winning I Can See Your Voice UK?
A group of six mystery singers will be whittled down by contestants with the help of celebrity panellists to just one, without the group performing a single note.
The final mystery singer will then perform a duet with a guest artist to reveal if they are good or bad.
If the mystery singer is good, the contestants win £10,000.
However, if the mystery singer is bad, then the £10,000 goes to the mystery person themselves.
When does I can See Your Voice UK start?
The first episode of the new series will begin on Saturday, 10 April, at 7:20pm on BBC One.
