It comes as the MAFS franchise broke broadcasting records

Based on the Dutch format, couples are matched together based on scientific and sociological factors, however they first meet at the altar.

But Married At First Sight UK has proven to be such a hit, thrilled bosses have already decided to commission a fourth series before the upcoming third series has even aired.

Filming is still underway on series three, which will air later this year, but bigwigs at Channel 4 aren’t wasting any time ordering up another batch of bumper episodes to air in 2024.

A source told The Celeb Report: “MAFS UK is a huge priority for the channel and is the biggest franchise on E4, as well as the top streaming hit for the network.

“It makes sense to order another series now and strike while the iron is hot as the public appetite for all the drama and chaos that comes from these ‘blind’ marriages is off the scale.”

This comes as it was revealed the show will be returning for a bumper series with a record-breaking number of episodes to entertain fans.

The hugely popular dating show will be on screen for an extra six shows compared to the last series when it makes its comeback – making it the longest yet.

Relationship experts Charlene Douglas, Paul C Brunson, and Mel Schilling will once again be on hand to match a brand new host of brides and grooms.

And unsurprisingly, viewers are in for a real treat, thanks to plenty of marital bliss combined with high drama.

The news comes as it is confirmed the Married At First Sight franchise has broken broadcasting records.

Its most recent Aussie version, Married At First Sight Australia, was the big drive behind Channel 4 achieving its biggest month ever for streaming in April.
