NETFLIX rising star Kit Connor has admitted that despite his newfound A-list lifestyle it is the cast of Coronation Street that leaves him truly starstruck.
The Heartstopper actor confessed that he was left in awe when he spotted stars of the popular ITV soap opera at an awards ceremony.

Kit got candid as he chatted to Interview magazine in an interview that he likened to having “therapy”.
The young star revealed that seeing the residents of Weatherfield at the National Television Awards was one of the biggest times he was ever left starstruck – and a personal connection to the show is the main reason why.
Kit said: “I also tend to get quite starstruck with people who are on a show that I watch with my parents.
“We used to watch Coronation Street, and I brought my mum to the NTAs, and that was a real night-and-a-half because it was all these Coronation Street people.
“Like, ‘That’s that person from Corrie!’ Me and mum were just loving it.”
Having grown up watching the Manchester based soap, Kit relished in getting chance to see the faces of the soap close-up alongside his mother.
Elsewhere in the conversation, the star addressed the heightened speculation surrounding his own sexuality after appearing in the Netflix runaway hit, Heartstopper.
The 19 year old came out as bisexual last year – a decision he admitted he had to make as a result of feeling as though his hand had been forced.
Kit said of the situation: “I found it very disappointing, especially given my age—although I don’t think that it should be something that is speculated on at any age.
“I really wanted to have that boundary. It was my private information and my personal life that I wanted to keep to myself. So I was kind of frustrated with myself that I gave into it.
“What I learned from that experience is that there are certain things I want to keep private in my life.”
He went onto add: “I’ve also learned that people are always going to have something to say.
“Even with me coming out, people will still have something to say—whether they believe me or not, whether they suddenly think, ‘Oh, now can he play straight roles?’ But whatever they say, they’re going to say something.”
It comes as the future of the show hangs in the balance after Kit and co-star Joe Locke have considered backing out of future series.

A TV insider said: “The cast were all unknown when they landed their roles and so signed contracts with Netflix worth next to nothing, as no one knew if the show would be a hit and it was a low budget production.
“The contracts locked them in for three seasons if Netflix decided to renew it, stipulating their fee would go up five percent for a second season then ten percent for a third.
“Even with the increase, the cast are still being paid a fraction of what their star power now commands.”
