The members of the public have to try and evade capture by an elite team of handpicked hunters in a bid to win a share of £100,000.

However, the sixth series of Hunted started with a twist compared to its previous outings.

Instead of being dropped in a city on the mainland, the fugitives were taken by boat to a beach on the Isle of Wight.

The fugitives had no idea they were going to be dropped on an island so immediately panicked when they realised the situation they were in.

HUNT IS ON

Viewers were not happy either, with one writing: “Drop them on the Isle of Wight at the start. Yeah cus thats fair… #hunted.”

Another added: “Isle of Wight is an unfair location to begin with… #Hunted.”

A third tweeted: “This is very unfair though, the island is only small #Hunted.”

Another agreed: “That’s simply isn’t fair. The hunters already know where the fugitives are AND on an island. What chance have they got when the hunters actually watched them land?”

They weren’t alone with the grievance, as a fellow Hunted fan wrote: “This season of #Hunted already looks juicy but the fugitives already at a disadvantage.”

Meanwhile assistant chief constable of Cleveland Police, Lisa Theaker, is back to lead her team of handpicked hunters.
