A lucky guest on the popular TV show Antiques Roadshow got the surprise of his life when he found out the value of some sculptures he picked up for free. Antiques expert Ronnie Archer-Morgan evaluated the statues on the show, leaving the owner speechless when he revealed their true worth.
Unexpected Treasure
The owner had stumbled upon these sculptures in a free bin outside a charity shop, with no idea of their potential value. Needless to say, he was not expecting much.
The Astonishing Valuation
As Ronnie examined the three pieces, he astounded the guest by valuing them in the hundreds of pounds range. The first sculpture was estimated at £300 to £400, while the second could fetch between £200 to £400. But it was the revelation about the third sculpture that truly floored the owner. If it were a German Expressionist piece, it could easily fetch £50,000 or more. Even as it is, Ronnie estimated its value to be around £500 to £800.
Priceless Reaction
After hearing the breathtaking value of his free statues, the owner couldn't contain his laughter and astonishment. He exclaimed, "I'm amazed. Amazing, thank you!" It was a remarkable discovery that highlights the hidden treasures that can be found in the most unexpected places.
Not the First Shocking Valuation
This is not the first time Ronnie Archer-Morgan has left an Antiques Roadshow participant astounded. In a previous episode, he revealed that an African figurine was worth a staggering 100 times more than what the owner had paid for it.
