A participant on hit reality TV series Cheaters has claimed everything about it was fake.
The show ran in the US from 2000 to 2021
Each case was investigated by ‘Cheaters Detective Agency’, but a former participant has claimed the whole thing was staged.
Writing in a Reddit post, the person said: “I was on Cheaters when I was in college.
“A production assistant grabbed me in a mall and asked if I would play the scorned girl’s friend. Took about three hours.
“I just made a shocked face while she screamed at her boyfriend and his dressed-over-the-top-sl***y lover in the first couple of takes, then they had be say a few ‘Oh my Gods’ and ‘come on, let’s just go, you don’t need him’.”
They went on to reveal how filming took a little longer due to production wanting to shoot some scenes in a car.
They continued: “Got a hundred bucks cash, signed a waiver, then went back to the mall and spent the money.
“Cheaters was 100 per cent fake by the way guys. I can assure everyone that between takes we were all being incredibly friendly with one another.
“We didn’t ask any personal questions, but the girl dressed sl***y was talking about being nervous for an audition, so I assumed she was a professional actress.”
Cheaters first aired in 2000 with Tommy Habeeb, before Joey Greco took over in 2004.
It continued with various hosts until May 2021.
