She pitched her skincare brand to the dragons

Co-founder of their skincare brand Delhicious Body, Zara Saleem confessed some truths about the popular BBC show.

She went into the den to get an investment on her all-natural, vegan skincare brand.

In a TikTok video, Zara said she was asked several times what the whole filming experience was like for us so she decided to answer any questions.

She shared: “We checked into the hotel then we went for dinner – I’ve never been to Manchester before but I really loved it. After that, I practiced my pitch.”

The businesswoman continued: “I was getting super nervous so I thought I would have an early night.”

“The next day was the actual day of filming, it’s a really early start and a super long day. I got to the studio and I set up my table. “

The entrepreneur then showed her TikTok followers a video of her in her dressing room before she went into the den to film.

“I did some interviews before I stepped into the den. I was in there answering questions for around 1 hour and a half before I left,” she told the TikTok viewers.

She then told her followers that she went back to her dressing room and had a “good cry”.

Fans of the BBC show were more intrigued and wanted to know more about what it’s like when the cameras were not rolling.

One question that kept popping up was if the lift on the show was real.

Zara answered: “No it’s not. You just press a button, get in and the doors open on the other end.

She added: “I was waiting in the lift for a long time before the doors opened though.”

Despite getting no investments, Zara revealed the Delhicious Body website blew up and she was overwhelmed with support after the episode aired.

Dragon’s Den is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
